Basically, the Controller is responsible for:
- Preparing the financial statements.
- Human Resources which includes payroll and benefits.
- Billing.
- Collections.
- Liaison with the vendors.
- Communicating with the bank.
- Liaison with various government bodies.
- Ensuring all taxes are paid on a timely basis.
The Controller, with their background in accounting, is often responsible for the administration of insurance and leases and like items.
